Pardess is deeply committed to social justice and spiritual activism. We are inspired by generations of Jewish and non-Jewish activists who have done the work of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world.

"You are not required to complete the work, yet you are not free to abandon it."

Pirkei Avot (2:21)

Recognizing the urgent and profound obstacles and opportunities of facing a global challenge to our survival, we are committed to working toward a world in which resources are shared equitably and all people and other life on our planet is held sacred.

As a spiritual group, we embrace our roles of growing our own and our children’s compassion, ethics and inspiration; networking and partnering with our neighbors to bring about systemic change and healing; and supporting each other to rest and replenish. Our approach is to create relationships and build community when we do Tikkun Olam, centering the expertise of those who find themselves in a time of need.

We are also committed to equity of gender, race, ability, class and age within Pardess and are actively and humbly engaged in the on-going work of growing our awareness and actions to be more inclusive.
