B'Hootz
Outdoor Learning Program

The key to our multi-generational learning is to bring alive the ancient stories of our shared heritage while inviting in the modern world in which we all live.

We are a multi-generational, mutually supportive learning community dedicated to:

• exploring our spiritual and cultural connections with Judaism's rich heritage

• providing a learning environment that is both intellectually stimulating and joyful

• performing acts of Tikkun Olam

We are committed to making B'hootz inspiring experiences for our children. The key is connection, the principle that embodies the Jewish wisdom of the Sh'ma, that we are One (Echad), a connected whole.

B'hootz strives to connect students' Jewish learning to real things in their own lives; connects older and younger children through whole-school learning, fairs and mini-classes; and connects the Pardess families with each other, the greater community and the natural world through Tikkun Olam (community service) projects, participation in holiday events and Shabboses, and by encouraging parents' active participation as teachers, planners and learners.

Due to the ongoing challenges of the COVID pandemic, we meet outdoors in various locations in Kitsap County as a way to be safe and to celebrate our ongoing connection with the natural world. B'hootz - come be a part of the magic.
